Over 1.9 billion users are logging into Google-owned YouTube each month and on average, users now watch over 180 million hours of   YouTube   on TV screens every day, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki has said. “Our overall interactions, such as likes, comments   and   chats, grew by more than 60   percent   year over year. Samsung India says it has sold over 20 lakh units of its recently-launched   Galaxy J8   and   J6   mid-segment smartphones in India, attracting nearly 50,000 consumers a day, the company said on Monday. Galaxy J6 was launched in May, while the more expensive Galaxy J8 was introduced on July 1.   “We are happy with the huge success of Galaxy J8 and J6 smartphones. Our philosophy of keeping our ears to the ground and incorporating consumer feedback into our products has paid off,”   said Asim Warsi, Senior Vice President, Samsung India. Sony has announced the next generation of its imaging sensor for smartphones, the   IMX586 stacked CMOS image sensor,   which is claimed to deliver an effective imaging output of 48 megapixel. The IMX586 is claimed to be the smartphone imaging sensor with the world’s highest megapixel count, beating the 41MP unit inside the age-old Nokia Lumia 1020. Sony also claims that the company has also achieved the  world’s first ultra-compact pixel size of 0.8 μm , which has made it possible to reach the 48 megapixel figure on a 1/2-type imaging sensor. In an official statement, Sony has revealed that the new sensor carries a   price tag of 3,000 JPY   (app. $27) and its   shipment will begin in September. PUBG Corp has been working hard to gain back the top spot in the battle royale genre. While the PC version of the game receive a   new update   recently, the mobile variant seems to be next in line to receive a new update, and it might even result in a downtime of the servers. As reported by   The Express ,  Tencent has confirmed that new downtime has been scheduled for the game, making way for the PUBG update 0.7.0. which has been in the beta testing phase for some time. The full message from Tencent reads: “PUBG Mobile will be taken offline for maintenance from 00:00 to 08:00 (UTC) on July 23. Alphabet Inc on Monday reported that expenses from its  Google  search business grew more slowly in the second quarter while revenue rose more steeply than analysts had anticipated, boosting profit above Wall Street targets and pushing shares up 3.6% after hours. Google's dominance in online advertising has been challenged this year by the antitrust battle over its Android mobile software, which led to a $5 billion fine for the quarter, and other regulatory actions, including new European privacy rules. Government pressure to improve moderation of user-created content has forced Google to hire more analysts. The Honor 9N price in India is likely to be at par with the China price of Honor 9i (2018) Honor 9N  is all set to launch in India today, at an event in New Delhi that kicks off at 11:30am IST. It appears that if you run a company and see a positive review of one of your products or services on YouTube, you can pay some dollars for it to use the video as an ad, even though the video was published independently. Well, at least that was the case with popular tech reviewer and YouTube personality, Marques Brownlee or MKBHD and his OnePlus 6 review video. Brownlee recently posted OnePlus 6 video review, where he praised the device calling it  ‘A+ for the price’  and a smartphone that offers a  ‘killer balance of performance and features.’  OnePlus seemingly loved the review, paid to run it as an ad, which didn’t go down too well with Brownlee and many others.
