Samsung Working at Feverish Pace to Land A13 Chip Orders From Apple

Image
Apple and Samsung may be bitter rivals in the domain of smartphones, but both the companies are on the same page when it comes to sourcing hardware components for the iPhone line-up. Take for example the OLED panels manufactured by Samsung for devices like the iPhones X. After OLED panels, Samsung is now looking to win orders for the A13 chips that will be used in Apple’s 2019 line-up of iPhones. According to a report from DigiTimes, Samsung is hard at work at developing the InFO (Integrated Fan-Out) packaging technology which decreases the thickness of chip packaging while enhancing processor speed and improving power dissipation, with the ultimate goal of landing the orders for the A13 chips. LinkedIn Introduces Native QR Code For Profiles

Image
In an attempt to make it easier for users to check out someone’s profile on  LinkedIn , the Microsoft-owned social networking platform has added QR codes for user profiles. First pointed out by Matt Navarra, the feature has seemingly gone live for most users, and some of us here at Beebom have also received it on our profiles, as can be seen in the screenshots below. It’s worth noting here that users could always use third-party tools to create QR codes for their LinkedIn profile, but things are likely to become much more seamless with the company rolling out the feature natively. LinkedIn account holders will now be able to use the QR codes on their business cards as well as on their resume (CV) with a simple instruction: ‘scan to view my LinkedIn profile’. Flipkart Sellers Still Use Packaging With Old Number Which Now Belongs to BJP

Image
Dialing a wrong number can often surprise you – whether pleasantly or unpleasantly varies with the situation and how you work your way through the awkwardness it. For a Kolkata-based man, however, it was like a jolt to his political preferences as he  called Flipkart but received an invitation to join BJP . The incident began when the said person ordered a pair of headphones from  Flipkart  and received a bottle of oil, instead. Infuriated, he called the number printed on the package to complain about the incorrect delivery but the call went through and then disconnected after a single ring. Before he could dial the number again, he received an SMS, welcoming him to BJP and asking him to complete the verification process by submitting his details, reports  NDTV . The message solicited the man’s full name, address, and “ if possible “, his e-mail ID and Voter ID to another number and doing so would “ complete the process “. It was after confirming that ...

Xiaomi  has released  a new teaser video  on its official Weibo account to announce that it will launch a new product on June 28. While the video in itself doesn’t reveal much about the upcoming device, online speculation suggests that the company may launch the Hatsune Edition of the Mi 6X on the given day. The video shows a ‘Mi Home’ outlet where where a turquoise Xiaomi box appears seemingly out of thin air. While none of us here at Beebom can honestly claim to know much Chinese,  GizChina claims  that the write-up towards the end of the video says  “this is a gift from the future” , suggesting that the device is yet to be announced. The video also displays the date 6/8/2018, suggesting that it will be officially unveiled on Thursday. It’s worth noting here that Xiaomi is believed to have quite a few devices in the pipeline,  including the Mi Max 3  and the Max 3 Pro. The company is also expected to launch the  Mi A2 , although, that...
